1. Overview
Scriptcue is a teleprompter app for iPhone. This policy explains what data the app uses and who it is shared with.
2. Data we process
On your device
Scripts, folders, recordings, and app settings are stored locally on your iPhone. We do not upload them to our servers. There is no account or cloud sync. If you save a video to Photos or share it with another app, that is your choice.
Permissions
The app asks for permission when a feature needs it:
- Camera: live preview and video recording
- Microphone: audio in recordings and word tracking
- Speech recognition: word tracking scroll mode
- Photos (add only): saving a recording when you tap save
Word tracking uses Apple’s Speech framework. Audio may be processed on your device or by Apple. We use the result to move through your script. We do not store transcripts on our servers.
Subscriptions
Scriptcue Pro is sold through the App Store. Apple handles payment. We never see your card details.
We use RevenueCat to check subscription status, unlock Pro features, and restore purchases. RevenueCat may receive an anonymous user ID, purchase status, app version, and basic device info.
Support email
If you email us at [email protected], we receive what you send (your address, message, attachments). We use it to reply and keep a record of the conversation.
3. What we do not do
- Sell your data
- Run ads or track you across other apps
- Collect data from children under 13
- Upload your scripts or recordings to our servers
4. Third parties
We share data only with:
- Apple for purchases, speech recognition, and saving to Photos
- RevenueCat for subscription management
- Authorities when the law requires it
Your scripts and recordings are not shared unless you export them yourself.
5. Your choices
- Change permissions in iOS Settings → Scriptcue
- Delete scripts and recordings in the app
- Manage subscriptions from settings in the app or at apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions
- Restore purchases in app Settings
- Email us to ask about or delete support correspondence
6. Retention
On-device data stays until you delete it or remove the app. Subscription records are kept as long as needed to manage billing. Support emails are kept only as long as needed.
7. Children’s privacy
The app is not aimed at children under 13.
8. International Users
Walkgate may be used in multiple countries. By using the app, you understand data is primarily processed on your device under your local laws.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. We will post the new version with a revised effective date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
