1. Agreement

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Scriptcue mobile application (“Scriptcue,” “App,” or “Service”).

By downloading, installing, or using Scriptcue, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. What Scriptcue Does

Scriptcue is a teleprompter app for iPhone. It lets you write scripts, read them while recording video, and manage your recordings on your device. Depending on how you use the App, it may:

Show a live camera preview and record video with audio
Display a scrolling script overlay on top of the camera preview (the overlay is not burned into the recorded video)
Track your speech to advance the script in word tracking mode
Store scripts, folders, recordings, and settings on your device
Save recordings to your photo library when you choose
Offer optional paid features through Scriptcue Pro

Scriptcue is a creative production tool, not legal, medical, or professional advice.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use Scriptcue.

If you are under 18, you confirm you have permission from a parent or legal guardian.

You are responsible for ensuring Scriptcue is lawful to use where you live.

4. Permissions and Device Access

Scriptcue requires certain system permissions to function. You may revoke permissions at any time in iOS Settings, but some features may stop working.

Scriptcue may request access to:

Camera to show a live preview and record video
Microphone to record audio and support word tracking
Speech recognition to highlight and advance your script in word tracking mode
Photos (add only) to save a recording when you tap save

Scriptcue stores scripts, folders, recordings, and preferences on your device. There is no account or cloud sync in the App.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

Scriptcue offers free and paid features through Scriptcue Pro subscriptions, billed through the Apple App Store.

5.1 Billing

Subscriptions auto-renew unless you cancel before your next renewal date.

Deleting Scriptcue does not cancel your subscription. You must cancel through Apple.

After you cancel, you keep access until the end of your current paid period.

5.2 Apple App Store

Manage or cancel subscriptions in Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions, or at apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions.

Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.

Apple may show renewal pricing before each billing period.

Refunds are handled according to Apple’s refund policies.

We use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions and restore purchases. RevenueCat does not process your payment. Apple does.

5.3 Free Trials

If offered, free trials convert to paid subscriptions unless canceled before the trial ends. Eligibility and duration may vary by region.

5.4 Price Changes

We may change subscription prices. Where required by Apple, you will be notified and given a chance to accept the new price before renewal.

5.5 Free and Pro Features

Free users may have limits on scripts, recording length, folders, word tracking, or other features. Pro unlocks the paid features shown in the App at the time of purchase. Feature limits may change, but we will not remove a paid feature you already unlocked during an active subscription period without a fair alternative.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Reverse engineer, modify, or misuse the App
Use Scriptcue to record or distribute content that violates law or others’ rights
Circumvent subscription, recording, or access controls
Use the App in violation of applicable law

We may suspend or terminate access for violations.

7. Your Content

You own the scripts, recordings, and other content you create in Scriptcue.

You are responsible for what you record, store, share, or publish. Do not use Scriptcue to create content you do not have the right to use, including copyrighted material or other people’s likeness or voice without permission.

8. Recording and Speech Disclaimer

Scriptcue is not a guarantee of recording quality or speech accuracy.

Word tracking depends on your microphone, accent, background noise, and Apple’s speech recognition
Recordings may fail, corrupt, or be lost if your device runs out of storage or the App is interrupted
Camera, microphone, and speech features depend on your iPhone model and iOS version
Do not use Scriptcue in situations where recording or reading a script could put you or others at risk

You use Scriptcue at your own risk.

9. Data and Privacy

Your use of Scriptcue is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

By using the App, you consent to the data practices described there.

10. Intellectual Property

Scriptcue, including its name, branding, design, and code, is owned by Scriptcue.

You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version at:

and update the “Last updated” date.

Continued use after changes means you accept the revised Terms.
